As a budget traveler, I loved the central location of this hostel. It was within walking distance to the Old Town/Downtown area, making it easy to explore the city. The hostel also offered female dorms, which was great for a solo female traveler like myself. The staff were friendly and gave great recommendations for places to eat and visit. The overall environment was friendly and welcoming, with other guests being open to chat. The rooms and common areas were comfortable and clean. Plus, the hostel provided free coffee in the mornings, which was a nice bonus. I had an excellent and comfortable stay at this hostel.
Felt at home, no complaints whatsoever.

During my Christmas stay, I really liked the friendly staff and the clean bathrooms. The staff were helpful and made me feel welcomed. Additionally, the bathrooms were well-maintained and provided a comfortable experience. The location of the hotel was also a key factor for me. It was conveniently situated within walking distance of the city, making it easy to explore and visit local attractions. Lastly, another advantage I enjoyed was the fun and funky atmosphere of the hotel. The lobby and back patio were great places to relax with a book or just hang out with friends.
On the downside, the heating in the rooms was a bit too hot at night for my liking. It made it a little uncomfortable for me, especially since I prefer cooler temperatures when I sleep.

I had a great stay in this hostel! the location was perfect, within walking distance to many attractions. the staff were friendly and accommodating. the rooms were clean and comfortable, with private lockers and individual plugs for electronics. the shared bathrooms were well-maintained. I also enjoyed the free morning coffee and the fantastic common areas.
The walls of the hostel were thin, so noise from neighboring rooms could be heard.

The location of this hostel was unbeatable! It was just a short walk to some of the most popular restaurants and the harbor area. Plus, there was a supermarket nearby, which was really convenient. the staff were super friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. the hostel itself had a quirky and unique decor, which we really liked.
One thing that could be improved is the temperature control in the rooms. Sometimes it got a bit too hot, and we had to open the windows to cool down.

Great value for the money, with comfortable and clean rooms. The location was perfect, within walking distance to everything I wanted to see. The staff at Black Elephant were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast selection better was if they offered a wider variety of food options.

We had a fantastic time at this hostel! The location was perfect, just around the corner from downtown, and there was even free street parking available. The staff was friendly and check-in was a breeze. The bunk beds in the female dormitory were incredibly comfortable, and the other guests were respectful. The hostel even had lockers, a kitchen, and a beautiful garden. It felt luxurious!
The only downside was that there were no elevators, and the rooms were on the higher floors.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hostel had a unique and vibrant decor that added a fun touch to the stay. the bathrooms were always clean and well-maintained. the outdoor garden was a beautiful and relaxing space to unwind, with plenty of seating and even a fire pit to enjoy.
The lack of laundry facilities, which would have been convenient for longer stays. the lack of secure bike storage was a concern, especially for cyclists traveling with valuable equipment.

The hostel had a great location, close to restaurants and bars within a 10-minute walk. the unique and colorful decor gave the place a cozy and homey feel. the friendly staff were helpful and provided suggestions for things to do and places to eat.
For the price, it would have been nice to have some breakfast options available, even if it was just cereal or toast. the bunk beds were metal and wobbly, causing them to be noisy and uncomfortable.
